Christmas Tree Has anyone seen any trees up yet and when do you put yours up? Mine goes up about the 20th December.

No but there's a lovely big tree up in one of the squares in Leeds.

Asda have recalled some of their trees, the ones that come with lights already attached. Something to do with an electrical fault.

I moved from a real tree to a fibre optic one several years ago. It goes up the weekend before Christmas - around the 18th - 20th and comes down on New Years Day.

People round here already have windows full of lights and gardens full of giant-sized Disney characters dressed as Father Christmas. It's chronic.

I'm having a Christmas party about ten days before Xmas so I'll put it up just before then. I want a black one but mine is only two years old so it seems a waste to buy another.

I have seen black, purple and pink trees this year. It's just not right.

Our shopping centre went for a 'minimilist' look this year with what I think are quite tasteful silver and purple stars and triangular trees. Many people are up in arms - demanding green and red tinsel and saying what a disgrace it all is. I think they need to get a life.

I do too. What does everyone have on top of their trees? I have seen some cute santas and snowmen but I like the traditional angel.

An angel for me, or sometimes a star.  I won't put my tree up until late December (if then, the way things are going) but I've seen quite a few around in house windows already.

I hate angels as they always look tacky. Also it always reminds me of Bottom when Richie looks up the angels dress to see her knickers

You can say on top of my tree or atop my tree but not atop of my tree.

Has anyone seen the upside down trees on ebay that hang from the ceiling? They are weird.

Sounds a cool idea but it'd be dangerous with all the baubles falling off.

I've had a look and they do look absolutely stupid. And whoever was selling them claimed that they're a big hit in America

My decorations will go up on Saturday. I always put them up on the first Saturday in December, I am happy because it's nice and early this year.

I always put a star on top of my tree until my daughter bought me an angel last year for christmas. So now I have a really pretty angel in a white dress with silver stars. She's lovely, and to be honest she'd go up on the flippin tree even if she was as ugly as sin just because my daughter bought her for me (but maybe I'd turn her to face the wall just a little bit!)

I went looking for the upside down trees on eBay and found this:-

I have to say "How altogether daft does this look??? Answers on a postcard please"

I hope everyone has a good time putting up their decorations whatever kind of tree they have, tinsel or no tinsel, and upside down or rightway up may your baubles remain where they are supposed to be. (And if not may you have good insurance!)
