Title: Lindor-alike chocs in Poundland
Post by: kevvosa on November 15, 2006, 11:31:45 am
Today I bought a bag of foreign chocs from Poundland, they're called Rosso Blu and taste exactly like Lindor! They are ball shaped chocolates like Lindor with creamy fillings. There's a hazelnut praline filling and a white chocolate cream filling.

They're absolutely lush Smurfy, I think you might like these. They're very good value for a pound as a bag contains as many chocolates as a box of Lindor. They're made in Italy.

None in our branch sadly  But if you're on the lookout for selection boxes, Cadbury ones are four for £3.

That's a shame. The ones I saw were in a dump bin thing with some smaller bags of chocolates.

I bought some more today plus one of the smaller bags, which contain a hazelnut and hazelnut cream. They look lush but I'm saving them for tommorrow.

I shall have to try Walsall or West Brom. Although once I've taken the bus fare into account, I may as well just buy Lindors!

If you wait they may get them in eventually. Do they sell the big blue bars of Swiss milk chocolate? I got one of those too.

They only had Cadbury choc as far as I could see. I'll have a look next week.

The dark choc ones were gorgeous by the way - even better than the Lindor-alikes. They had some sort of hazelnut paste and crunchy bits inside and the chocolate tasted really rich.

I went to Poundland on Saturday to get some cleaning wipes and check out the chocolate section but it was packed solid. I think a lot of local people were in there buying their Christmas presents. Some of them think it's Harrods!

I see Poundland do cheap versions of after dinner mints and also turkish delight thins.

Was in today and they now have some Witor chocolates that are similar to Ferrero Rocher.

I'm surprised all Poundland stores don't sell the same ranges.

I suppose it's the kind of company that takes the stock it can get, so perhaps sometimes there isn't enough to sell a product nationwide.
