There was a Cadbury van at the Bullring today (closed when I went past). It had pictures of all the CDM bars and a slogan saying 'nine varieties to choose from' - and the Orange Chips bar wasn't pictured
-
Good riddance.
-
I've just realised the Wafer was also missing, plus at least one other brand - not sure which though
-
If they get rid of Cadbury's Wafer, I swear I will never buy another Cadbury's product. Never, never, never!
-
They already have sadly
I checked Cadbury's website and it wasn't pictured there either. However, it does show ten CDM brands when the cart at the Bullring only showed nine, so it's out of date somewhere.
-
Hmm maybe the other discontinued one is mint chips? It's probably to make room for Dairy Milk with Cream Egg or something. I've always thought that an orange flavoured Dairy Milk would be better than orange chips, the one they did years ago was gorgeous
Much nicer than Terry's chocolate orange.
-
No, Mint Chips was definitely there. The other discontinued bar is either Bubbly, Almond and Honey or Crunchie pieces.
-
The Bubbly was lovely too. Oh hell, I'm verweight anyway. might as well give up chocolate all together.

Could be the almond and honey then cos they seem to be selling it off really cheap everywhere I look. And I wouldn't be surprised if the Crunchie one will get the chop too.
-
I have seen both the A and H and Crunchie bars cheap. I don't want any of these bars to be discontinued
-
Well, Cadbury's are not a charity, they need to make money, and if there isn't enough demand for a product...

-
Sounds like a very wise man told you that
-
I have a CDM mint chip in my fridge... I have been craving mint choc for over a week now but the Cadbury one just isn't minty enough, in fact it's pretty poor and I only keep eating it cos I bought a huge bar and no one else wants it.
I am still craving mint choc
-
Jamsi get yourself a large mint Aero or some After Eights.
-
I love mint aero. It's one of my fave bars of choc.
-
Even though the inside bit isn't technically chocolate.
-
Yes even though that.
-
I think I need matchmakers but the offer isn't on anymore and I'm too mean to pay full price
-
Go on Jamsi treat yourself. You're worth it.
-
Because she's wroth it.
-
Last night Tesco had every brand except Almond and Honey, and ther was loads of it in the 99p Store today. The signs aren't good
-
Good riddance, it was far too sweet.
-
If they get rid of Cadbury's Wafer, I swear I will never buy another Cadbury's product. Never, never, never!
Good news on this! They had loads of it in Woolies today, and on the wrapper it said 'now even crispier!' - so it looks like it's a relaunch. They also had tons of the Orange Chips though
-
If it's now crispier I might give it another try. I've only ever had two since they were launched - one to try it, and another when there was a free coupon in the paper
I never liked them because the wafer is too soft and airy, similar to Blue Riband wafer.
-
A lot of people have said they taste a bit stale, so maybe that's why they've changed the recipe. Who says Cadbury don't listen to their customers?
-
Who says Cadbury don't listen to their customers?
Only when there's a decrease in sales though.
-
When else do you expect them to change things - when everything's going brilliantly and the stuff is flying off the shelves?
-
Nope.
-
I expect them to get the product right before it's launched. Don't they do test marketing?
-
Everyone makes mistakes. Just look at some of Nestle's big disasters in recent years. And at least Cadbury are perservering with this product - if they'd withdrawn it people would moan they weren't giving it enough time.
-
They should just do a Dairy Milk version of Kitkat. I've always thought Kitkat Chunky would be ten times as nice if it were coated in Dairy Milk, and no doubt many other people would agree (those certain people who bash Nestle at every opportunity for example).
-
They did Cadbury's Wafer but have now got rid of it. I still miss Bar Six. They were BEEEEAAAAUUUUTIFUL!
-
They did Cadbury's Wafer but have now got rid of it.
But that's what we're saying, it looks like Cadbury have relaunched it and not discontinued it after all.
-
-
Now I'm totally confused. Woolies had loads of Orange Chips today
-
Well I recently saw a Sticky Toffee Aero there and that has been discontinued.
-
I'm not surprised. I thought it tasted awful.
-
I think the Truffle one tastes horrible and wouldn't be surprised if that's next to go. I saw it on cheap in Jack Fultons recently.
-
You saw it on what?????????
-
CHEAP
-
All CDM brands apart from CDM original, Caramel, Fruit and Nut, Wholenut, Turkish, Double Choc, Bubbly (larger block only) and Crunchie Bits (larger block only) have been discontinued completely and are not available in any sizes. I haven't mentioned the melts range but you can still get these.
-
Those CDM Wafers were bloody wonderful - not quite as good as Bar Six but pretty damn nearly. I am not going to try any of the new CDM bars because if I love them to bits they'll only go and discontinue them.
-
Yes, it is better never to have loved at all than to have loved and lost.
-
very true.
-
A fool and their money are soon parted.
