Title: cadburys fondant filled bars

Does anyone remember the bars of chocolate cadburys brought outmid  to  late 80s that were strawberry filled and there was a mint filled one i think with  plain  chocolate my favourite was the strawberry one as i am a lover of strawberry creams in any shape or form think there was also one other flavour but i can't  remember whether it was coffee or somethin else hope someone  else remembers these excellent chocolate bars and their names

I love strawberry creams in any shape or form too, and orange creams.

I was left with egg on my face a few months back when someone said there was a bar called Cadbury's Summerfruits, which I said didn't exist - and then they produced a picture of it  Maybe this is the bar you're thinking of? Apart from that, Cadbury's only fondant bars in recent years have been the Fry's Spirit range in the late nineties - and of course the Fry's Cream bars are still going.

For strawberry cream bars, your best bet is Ashbury's - the best place to find them is Farmfoods or pound shops. They do a mint cream bar too.

I want the five centre bar back! or the fruit creams made by foxs which came in them small boxes like poppets

can anyone remember the name of or even remember a chocolate bar that instead of squares..every section was in the shape of a chcoclate as if it came from a box of chocolates..i think maybe it was called MilkTray but i'm not sure..anyone ?

Milk Tray Bar! There was also a plain chocolate version called Plain Choice. There were about eight or nine chocolates moulded onto a base. Fillings included fudge, orange cream, strawberry cream, hazelnut in caramel, lime cordial and coffee cream. A dream for soft centre fans.

Oh it was a lifetime away! I reckon they've been gone for about 30 years or nearly that!

Excellent! This is the first mention of Plain Choice bars I have found on the web! Thought I was going mad

Thanks. I think Milk Tray/Plain Choice bars were phased out in the late '70s. Most people don't seem to remember them though

I'm 37 and I can't recall the Milk Tray bars.  I'd liked to have tasted those though.

There were 3 bars in the range - all 55g in weight and having an RSP of 25p.

The range was:

Mint

Coffee

Strawberry

 

They sold very well in Scotland (where Fondent products are top sellers) but not so well in the rest of the UK.

These were one of the nicest bars ever. I am 41 and remember them very well.
