What a classic chocolate bar!?
Why would it ever be discontinued? The Dairy Milk Bubble is not the same!
Does anywhere know where I can get my hands on these tasty treats? YUM
-
Probably because it wasn't selling very well. As for where you can get them, you can't get proper Wispas anywhere, but sometimes foreign versions crop up at the market or in discount shops.
-
or better still buy an Areo.

-
Not the way they taste now.
-
or maybe not

-

-
Dairy Milk Bubbly is the exact same thing as Wispa. Its just a different shape and in a different wrapper.
So buy those and stop complaining.
-
And I suppose a KitKat is the exact same thing as a Mars Bar, just with wafer instead of caramel and nougat?
-
Wispas were absolutely bloody horrid. The 'gold' and 'mint' varieties were pretty acceptable (I miss Wispa Gold actually) but the milk chocolate ones were really not nice.
-
I loved Wispa Gold and Mint - probably the only time variations have been nicer than the original.
-
I'd agree with that.
-
I was thinking about Wispas the other day, they were far superior to an Aero or Cadbury Bubble!

Indeed. CDM Bubbly is the wrong shape and the bubbles are too big for it to be as good as a Wispa. Aero is just
-
I actually like CDM Bubbly better, but it's a shame we couldn't have that as well as Wispa rather than instead of.
-
In the interests of research (!) if I can find a large bar of CDM Bubbly I am prepared to eat it. But I still prefer the size and shape of the Wispa, it was perfect for dunking and just not the same with the chunks of the CDM bar. I agree we should have both Smurfy!
-
I loved them too! really good chunky bar. Not too sweet either. My mate has even blogged about them ( http://heateddiscussion.wordpress.com/2007/07/03/wispa-to-me/ )
Hows that for a chocolate lover!!
-
I can't understand what it is with Aeros. They used to be delicious but now the chocolate is hard and nasty like Hersheys and sooooooo oversweet. Recycle.
-
I love Aero especially the mint one.
-
They do taste ok but when I hold them they remind me of Crayola crayons.
-
Its back!.
See my new thread in the old products section.
-
wispa are back on the 8th :D

Anyone know the status of the Wispa?.
Have Cadbury's announced a permanent return or is it still on 'limited' release?.
-
No announcement has been made as yet, but seeing as every delivery seems to fly off the shelves within a day or two, I think Cadbury would be shooting themselves in the foot spectacularly if they didn't bring it back for good.
-
What about a Cabana then?
It would be bound to sell really well?

I would buy millions.
-

I thought you said you loved Cabanas?
-
millions of Cabanas. However this new bar looks interesting.

What are you basing that on?
-
Well.................
I have heard that it is frightening the amount of chocolate that Lou and GC can get through in one sitting.
Just an inspired guess really, Smurfy.
-
Yes you would be shocked how much i can eat in one go.
-
These Wispas are damn hard to find. Only place in Edinburgh I know of is the WHSmith at the train station and they are 65p each!
-
Hopefully that's a good thing - it means they're selling out quickly, therefore there's more chance of them coming back permanently.
-
How long will they keep it going till they announce it back as a permanent line again?
-
WHSmith here now sold out.
-
So I take it they aren't making a permanent comeback?
-
Bummer
-
They might well be, but it won't be immediately.
-
I remember the Wispa with caramel was briefly (unfortunately only for that length) brought back by Cadbury's in autumn 2009 then discontinued again the following year; I would like the Wispa Mint brought back (I'm unusually someone who doesn't like regular Wispas!)
-
Wow, that's an interesting way to write posts.

I would like to see Whispa Mint back too!
