'Nestle said production of KitKat, Aero, Yorkie and Milky Bar will stay at York, but Smarties output will leave Britain to Hamburg in Germany, while Drifter and MatchMakers will move to Castleford and Newcastle.'

 

I am heartbroken that smarties production is moving to Germany.

Am I being oversensitive? I have been eating them for 41 years now....

I used to think it made no difference, till I tasted their diet coke!

Well, if they change the recipe of Smarties then I agree. That's not right. If they do I'm sure they will get a lot of complaints.

I doubt they will. Continental Diet Coke (Coke Light) has always had a different recipe to British and US diet coke - it's more like Coke Zero.

If they don't taste the same I won't buy them anymore. I like the giant smarties.

I got a big tube of pink one's today from savacentre. It had a proper lid on it too!

Firslty do German have differnat tasting smarties to us?
has anyoen ate Geramn Smarties?

also Euorpean Dite coek is liek Coke Zero!

I bought a tube of Smarties a month or so ago and they were horrible...not at all how they tasted a few years ago. the 'crispy shell' had the texture of  tracing paper and the chocolate was unbelievably bad
