What is your fave revel? Mine is the toffee.
-
The Galaxy Counter.
-
Galaxy Counter
-
the ONE and only !
galaxy counter
HORAY!
-
The coffee one.
-

I hate those, too hard.
My fave is the orange one.
-
Don't like any of them
-
I do think they are a bit overrated. Everyone seems to hate at least one of the flavours, plus the Maltesers found in them can be bought by themselves, and the Galaxy Counters are just Minstrels without the shell.
-
And a Mars bar is a Snickers without the peanuts but it definitely isn't the same.

Ok fair point, but they are still overrated.
-
The question was what is your fave revel NOT are they overrated.
-
Oooh, get you!
-

-
I don't think the Glalxy Counter one is like a Minstrel without a shell. The Counter's chocolate has a smoother, creamier texture thatn the chocolate inside a Minstrel.

How can it be? It is made from Galaxy chocolate (hence why it has the word Galaxy in front of it) as do Galaxy Minstrels.
-
Yes, but the texture is different. I think the Galaxy Counters have a higher level of milk or vegetable oil in them. After all, at one time Minstrels (then called Treats) and Galaxy Counters used to be available as separate lines so they can't be that similar
-
I ask a Master food person there wish it woudl come back as well!
counter tha tis!
-
Oooh, get you!
It's like asking someone the time and then they tell you their life history and what they are having for tea, don't you think?
-
The raisin one.
-
Toffee for me
-
Well - it was the bloody peanut, but of course it got discontinued!!! So - now it's the toffee, and i kind of have a love hate thing going on with the coffee one. Haven't had revels for ages - might have to go and buy some
-

When threads are started they often veer off course, that's the nature of conversation.
-
Peanut was my first choice too.
-
Ok everyone has said their favourite now so no one should post on anything else other than what your favourite revel is.
-
Are you sure everyone has had their say? I'm still waiting for lorri, kermie, robbie and CC's answers. loulou38970.8996643519
-
Ok but only they may post now.
-
What about strolling, muggy, aveit, salsa, cherry and chocadmin?
-
Ok but as long as it's in reponse to the revels question.
-
Kev are you being sarcastic?
-
Of course

-

-
I wouldn't buy Revels as they have coffee ones in them. I would probably only eat the orange ones and the Galaxy counter anyway, so they would be my favourites.
-
Anyway, I don't think I said my favourite. I can't decide between toffee, counter and raisin. Probably counter because you know what you're getting - with the others you can risk eating a coffee one by mistake.
-

That's why I don't buy them. I think if someone had a pack and offered me one I would go for the counter!
-
Did there used to be a coconut revel?
-
I think so. I would spit that one out in disgust too!
-

Yes, and next you'll tell me that you haven't played the "spit the one you don't like, three rows down in the cinema"!
-
I haven't, but one of my former workmates used to ask me to nibble the chocolate on them, and if I found a coffee one to give it to her!

Now that's an offer you couldn't refuse.
Seriously though, couldn't you have just given her the coffee Revel?

There should be a mint cream revel or a strawberry revel I think.
-
You couldn't put the mint in with anything else as it would taint the other flavours.
-
True.
-
You say that, but I think orange can taint flavours too, and this doesn't seem to be a problem in Revels.
-
It depends how strong it is I think. A lot of minty products use mint oil which I think can easily taint things.
-
so looks like im the only one supporting the coconut one then
no wonder it was discontinued lol
-
I think a coconut one would be lush

-
Going back to the 60s when revels was first launched, there used to be a Turkish Delight one. The Malteser wasn't in Revels then. The orange one went for a while, then came back.
-

I would imagine that was a hellishly messy filling line!
-

It was in a pack of Cadbury's misshapes I bought the other week. All the toffees tasted of the orange crunch. To cap it all, over half were fudge too!
-

I've always said I would love to see the return of the coconut one.
-
I support the coconut revel!!! Turkish delight sounds lush.
Now - i'm probably going to be controversial but...i think they should get rid of the malteser and minstrel type one - after all you can get them in packs on their own. Revels should be special
-
Bring back the peanut and the coconut one and leave out malteser and coffee.
-

I can't imagine why my grammar was so bad there. It's probably because it's only Tuesday and I've already done two twelve hour days at work. Zzzzzzzzzzzz
-
I hadn't noticed! Thanks for picking yourself up. It saves me the job!
-

No. You cannot. Not since the 80's anyway.
-
It was a Galaxy counter. <yum>
-
After this topic i went and bought a multipack of revels. You're meant to get 4 standard bags in the pack...
...i got 5!
-
Bring back the peanut and the coconut one and leave out malteser and coffee.
Oh yes. The world needs more chocolate peanuts.

I like the idea of the coconut one
-
How about Vodka Revels?
-
Alcohol and chocolate doesn't do it for me. I find liquers sickly.
-

I thought that word was banned
-
Is it? When did it get banned?
-
It was just a suggestion on my part as it was so over-used.
-
When? Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly Sickly

It just annoys me that people moan about lack of variety in chocolate, but when anything other than caramel and nut bars appear in the New or Foreign products section it's suddenly 'ooh no, it sounds sickly'. Surely Fry's Five Centres and Milk Tray Bars 'sound' sickly - not to mention the sodding Cabana! Yet everyone wants them back...
-
Wash your mouth out. Milk tray bar, five centres and cabana were never sickly.
-
Shan't.

I think people want innovation within milk chocolate though, not white chocolate. White chocolate is not peoples favourite choice (apart from me of course).
-

How sickening. I feel sickly now.
-
Naughty naughty bad people! Put £10 in the banned word jar!
-
I wonder what word I shall use now instead of the s word.
-
How about "vomit inducing" Lou?
-
Too sickly.
-
sickly
-
Icky.
