Someone wrote to me today and asked why they had not received the item they won from me on ebay. I replied that they had not paid me and then they wrote back to say they had sent a five pound note through the post. I told them I had not received any letter containing £5 and they should take it up with royal mail to which they responded that they had stole the £5 from their mothers purse and didn't know what to do if it was lost inn the post as they didn't want to steal again. I am shocked that someone has admitted this to me. Obviously it's some kid. I wish ebay would tighten their rules to stop kids being allowed to bid.

The company I used to work for sometimes sold discontinued stock through eBay, and once some woman refused to pay because she said her 10 year-old son had made the bid. How irresponsible is it to a) let a 10 year-old use the internet alone and b) to leave your eBay account open for them to play with?

Last week I had someone leave me a negative feedback calling me a f***ing bi*ch so I rang their house to be told by a lovely lady that it was her 11 year old grandson. A few hours later I had a very apologetic father ring me back and tell me he had thought it would be ok to sign up for an ebay account and a paypal account in his sons name but as this was the fourth time he had abused ebay sellers he would have his ebay registration terminated. Isn't it great he only had to do it 4 times before his father took notice.

On the news last week was a young man student type person who bought a Mercedes off Ebay or his Mum bought it for him for £5,000
When he went to collect and pay for it they threatened to shoot him unless he handed over the cash, He gave them the money and got no car... pretty scary.
But why does someone so young need a posh car like that? Why can't they have a battered old banger like me

I wonder how man eBay accounts the father has had suspended if he has to sign up for one in his son's name?
As for the kid who stole the fiver, I can't decide what's worse - that he stole the money in the first place, or that he thought the money being stolen was a valid excuse for not chasing up Royal Mail!

Ebay is shocking in so many ways, I try to avoid using it now. I have stopped selling stuff unless it is truly worth it. Amazon is much better for certain things like DVDs and books, I often order from sellers in the U.S for much cheaper prices. Ok so it takes a while to arrive but I don't mind waiting.

I never buy from ebay and I just dump end of line stock on there. I'm going to go back to the toy fayres from November . It's easier and more fun.

Some pillock cancelled his bid on a mobile phone today because he realised it was the wrong model. Don't these people ever read the listings?

Phew! That was close!

I'm so glad to have amused you BK. Perhaps it hasn't occured to you that I might actually need the money from this and can do without some prat poking fun about it.

I'm sure you will get more bids phones usually sell well on Ebay. Just watch out for those people in other countries who try to scam you with phone auctions.

Watch out for everyone on ebay. It's a mad house.

It is. Only use it when you need to.
