Title: JANUARY SALES.....
Post by: loulou on January 02, 2005, 05:46:15 pm

Who has been to the sales and bought anything nice? I have been today and came back with only a pair of shoes. Very disappointing. Oh well bank holiday tomorrow...more sales!

I have bought a few gifts for birthdays - a remote control car for my little great-nephew (down from £30 to £15 in M&S) and a few pretty journals for my nieces from W H Smiths.

No clothes though. M&S was rubbish for clothes. Just wanted a few classic skirts for work but no luck. All way too short or way too long.

I've bought a few birthday gifts too - mainly half-price toiletries etc from Asda.  I need a new hi-fi system but had no luck at all when I went to the sales yesterday.

I've bought one of those multi-channel TV remote controls.  Now I can stand outside folks's front rooms and turn their volume up.

I've done pretty well, but was v. annoyed to find the new jeans and jacket I had only worn once were both reduced!

M & S might not be good for clothes at the moment, but check out their home stuff - I got a £35 lamp for £5, and an £18 vase for £3!

I went to the Sales the day after boxing day and it was really really busy. I went to Lakeside in Essex as opposed to Bluewater. We see the traffic for Bluewater and thought better of it.

I didn't get any major bargains, just some reduced CD's from HMV. My boyfriend got a great bargain in House of Fraser. Ted Baker shoes that were £80 down to £19!

The M&S sale has been very good. A lot of lovely underwear down to £3 and £5
