Title: Phyllis Bermann
Post by: phyllisbermann on July 28, 2006, 04:21:29 pm

I'm 28, live in Belgravia in London, drive a Mercedes SLK and have a maid called Dorota.

I love Green & Blacks chocolate, Vermeer Dutch Chocolate Cream Liqueur and Pol Roger champagne best of all.  I'm also rather partial to Pimms from time to time, along with a glass of Mozart Chocolate Liqueur at others.

Those people on here suggesting I'm a balding artist in the US are crazy mad dogs.

I refute all their insults and wish they'd stop attacking me.

Time for you lot to be nice.

Pip pip pipity pop!

I am on electoral roles with my married name but as I divorced recently it means I'm on under a different guise.

Phyllis. I am a bit older than 28. I live in Peterborough and I do not drive. I am married with two children (20 and nearly 18) and I work as a college lecturer.  I don't have a maid but plenty of my friends have people who come in and do the cleaning and gardening,  so I am considering doing that when i got back to work at the end of August.

I like Cadbury's chocolate, I like Green & Blacks too and soft centres but I am trying to cut down. I love good wine, Pimms and half a cider or lager and lime on a hot day.

Oldspice, you sound so nice.  I think we'd get on.

I have no children.

My divorce came about because my husband and I were just not
suited.  He and I are the best of friends though.  We have
dinner together twice a week when he is in London.

I always find it a bit odd when people are so friendly with their exes. Best to make a clean break and get on with your life.

Depends on what terms you end on.

I was engaged at 18 and we split after three years without getting married. He stayed in our circle of friends and I withdrew. When he married a few years later I attended his wedding (I knew the bride) but did not see them much after that. Eight weeks ago a friend phoned me to say that he had died from cancer. I am still shocked and sad.

Because you don't have to hate someone just to know your not suited to be anything more than friends. I am friends with my ex's and proud I can do so.

I don't hate any of my exes . I just don't see the point in staying in touch when I've moved on with my life and them with theirs.

I haven't been in the situation myself, but if you've been with someone for a long time and are unhappy enough to split from them, I can't see how you can then become friends.
