I thought you sounded older than 28. Phyllis is an older name if you don't mind me saying so.

Phyllis Smith at No.57 is about 67 if she's a day.  She's OK though and they never proved anything about the hamster.

What hamster?

Tommy Brown's hamster went missing from No. 22 and then everyone said her pies tasted funny but she said it was just her new oven on the blink.  There was a meeting by the parish council and they gave her the benefit of the doubt but they use an outside caterer now.

I like you Ne avater! bounty are you quit cunning?

623, there are a number of things you might be saying here:

1. Have you quit cunning?  Certainly not, one of my favourite pastimes.

2. Are you quit cunning?  The mediaeval game of quit cunning is now only played in a few Oxfordshire villages so no I'm not.

3. Are you quite cunning?  Well, yes I guess I am.

The Nether Chumley Hamster Pie - Is it a best seller?
Title: Blue Peter
Post by: on July 15, 2006, 03:16:38 pm
Her pies were popular at fetes and galas but no one touched them after 'Hamstergate'.  She still waters Mrs Gilbrand's geraniums's when she's on holiday but doesn't help out with the tombola now after the unfortunate incident with the ferret.

She made a ferret pie today?  Poor bugger.
