Title: How’s that for a name..
Post by: oldspice on July 07, 2006, 09:04:04 am

A woman is expecting her 14th baby by her husband. They currently have 12 daughters and one son. The youngest child, a girl, is named Porsche-Mercedes !!

Any suggestions as to the name of the next lucky little begger? Morris- Minor perhaps? Or what about Ford-Anglia? Cortina-Zephar? (no, you're all way too young to remember those!).

Poor girl, she'll think she's German one minute and Spanish the next!

My friend is called Mercedes. I've always thought it was a lovely name.

First?  I had about six before that one.  Actually my first was a Mark 1 Ford Escort called Jellytussle.

They went out of production because they had a habit of truning over on the motorway if they were passed by a very fast lorry.

I agree Lorri.  I know of a Jeanine who has been called Nina by everybody since the day she was born (at her parents' insistence) and a Henry who has always been called Harry.  (A Royal trait I believe!).

My husband is a car obsessive and works for Lotus- he has suggested Elise as a name if we ever have a girl.  Audi and Mercedes (which means Grace) were names before the cars and Portia (how Porsche is pronounced) is a name.

My uncle is a biker and my cousin has the middle name Harley, I also have cousins with the names Harrison, Dana and Coral- after Mr Ford, the X files and greyhound racing!

I have taught kids with the names Bruce Lee, Rosie Lee, Christopher Lee and Sade and have got one starting school this year called Anakin (will have to keep an eye on him as he grows up!).

I know a girl named Porschea.

I know another named Jes-Sandara.

I also know someone called Merlin and several named Peregrine.

I once came across a man named Mister Mister.  His middle name was Jacob.
