I heard an ugly rumour this is being discontinued
However, there may still be hope as the person who told me a) thought it was being discontinued because Fry's were being sold - 70 years too late there matey! - and b) didn't even know the orange variety existed, so is obviously no choc expert like our good selves. I will email Cadbury and tell you their response, should there be one...

Please no, not the peppermint cream
The Fry's range are among a select few bars that are a bit different from the usual 'caramel and nuts/crispy bits' bars that dominate today's market. It would be a crying shame if any of them went.
Love Frys bars and have not had one for ages so I'm going to buy some tomorrow.
This week I have mostly seen Fry's Cream.
No, no, no, no, yes!
Errrr.....NO!
This week I have mostly seen Fry's Cream.
Who's that?
Jesse from the Fast Show. AKA Mark Williams?
OH! Suits you, sir!
Cadbury have replied and said it is not being discontinued. (Well actually what they said was 'we do not have any information to suggest this is a fact' - some customer relationese answer to cover themselves in case they decide to drop it next year and I email back saying 'you lied to me, my life is ruined' etc.)
I am pretty certain that Cadbury could not afford Nestle (they make loads of other stuff) and in anycase, the Monopolies and Mergers Commission would not allow it.
They have been talking about selling off the confectionery arm of the business though. I think Cadbury could just about get away with buying it, but then again it isn't that long since they bought Green and Blacks... Masterfoods (Mars) on the other hand might well be in the market for it.
A cunning plan!
Or a cupid stunt?
i love a good plan.
Just to confirm - I had a Fry's Peppermint cream and an original one on Friday.
And which did you prefer, pray tell?
