Who has tried this new liqueur, Vermeer Dutch Chocolate Cream Liqueur?
I tried it at Bar.06 at Earl's Court last week and enjoyed it very much. More information is on http://www.vermeeruk.com

Here we go again, Bicerin Part 2

-
Hello Kevvosa, I don't work for either Vermeer or Bicerin but just
thought you might like to know about it as it is something new. I
tried it, loved it and thought I would share the idea.
Being a chocolate lover, I also love Roccoco's chocolates and find The
Chocolate Society (http://www.chocolate.co.uk) to be great too.
Where else should I try?

Not seen this anywhere myself. Although I like chocolate liqueur I am more like to buy Baileys than try a new brand - not very adventurous I know.
-
Is this an advert thread?
-
It is now.
-
I'll move it.
-
I did not post this as an advert. I thought other chocolate
lovers might like to know about this new drink. After all, I did
post this in the "new products" section. Sorry for offending you
all.
-
S'alright phyllis. We have some blatant advertisers on from time to time and we shoot on site!
-
ok I'll move it back.
-

It is clearly an advert, so, move it back again!
-
It is not an advert. I simply like the stuff.
I also like many other chocolate products:
- Roccoco
- Green & Blacks
- Pierre Marcolini
But chocolate drinks seem rather limited other than Vermeer as many of
them are just TOO sweet. Which is the best hot chocolate?
-
Good question. I like Options the best as it's tasty and low in fat, but no doubt there is more expensive and more delicious out there.
-
I'd really like to find a seriously indulgent hot chocolate. I don't mind having to pay extra if it is really good.
-
Me too. I think Lindor should do their own luxury hot chocolate.
A few years back Cadbury made something, I think it was called Velvet, and it had a mixture of chocolate flakes in.
-
I seem to remember Suchard's do a nice hot chocolate.

-
BK how could you turn this into a shameless plugging thread?
-
I think that particular boat sailed as soon as the thread started!
-
Douwe Egbert's hot choc is nice and tastes like it's got hundreds of calories in it!
-
How could I forget Hotel du Chocolat? These are individual hot chocolate drinks that you microwave from cold. Expensive at full price (99p each) but I got some from Home Bargains for much less. Not good if you're watching the calories though...
-
Thanks. The Spanish one sounds especially good.

And how could I forget it's Moment du Chocolat, not Hotel! Senility is settting in already and I'm not even 27 until 3.30...
-
-
Sounds great. Will try that.
-
If you do tell us what it's like will you.
-
Delicious, I have to say.
-
Definitely will get more of that.
-
More of what?
-
The Moment du Chocolat.
-
I think I'll even have one with breakfast. Mmm.
-
Don't get carried away now.
-
I promise you I shall. Now it's 5pm, it's time for a cocktail. A chocolate martini, me thinks.
-
You might become a chocoalcoholic!
-
I already am. I love Vermeer Dutch Chocolate Cream Liqueur. I also rather like the Mozart chocolate liqueur. As for the rat poison brand, Bicerin, I'd love to try it but as it doesn't seem to exist it looks like I won't get to sample that one. Any other choc-alcohol drinks I can try?
-
Mudshakes?
-
They're disgusting.
-
Well I like them!

I like chocolate mudshakes too, gc
I found a bottle of Thorntons chocolate liqueur at the weekend. I had a free taster (!) and can report it tastes a bit like Baileys but nicer and more chocolatey. It's £9.99 per bottle.

Ooooh, I may just call into Thorntons in my lunch break tomorrow!
-
I've had it and didn't like it but my friend is addicted to it.
-
Erm, I don't know if they sell it in Thornton's shops (are they licenced?) I found it somewhere completely different. Let me know if they do have it at Thornton's!
-
The big one in Newcastle sells it.
-
It is not chocolate. It's made with toffee. Just checked.
-
Anyone tried Dooleys? Thats a lovely toffee liquer.
-
My colleague has new twin grandsons and one of them is named Bailey!
-
what's the other called?
-
Dooley?
-
Harvey - as in Bristol Cream?
-
Dooley's is made with toffee. The bottle looks awful but my god the taste is vile.
The only ones I like are Mozart and Vermeer Dutch Chocolate Cream
Liqueur so far. Wouldn't mind trying others but there doesn't
seem to be anything else out there.
-
Apart from Bicerin - you gonna buy any?
-
I buy Vermeer Dutch Chocolate Cream Liqueur often and Mozart too. Wouldn't mind trying some others to.
-

-
Come on people, you must know of some other ones surely.
-
mint choc baileys mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
-
I haven't seen Mint Chocolate baileys for months. It's strange because i saw some in Tescos last Xmas, made a mental note to get some, then a few days later they were gone and I haven't seen any since!
By the way, the other twin is called Ethan. So it's Bailey and Ethan.
-
I think mint Baileys were for Christmas.
-
If you do tell us what it's like will you.
Ooh look - an unedited Minty post!
-
Does anyone think Phyllis likes Vermeer Dutch Chocolate Cream Liqueur by any chance???
-
She was a strange woman, that's for sure!
