...Appeared in selection boxes in the 70's and 80's but was never sold separatley?

If the Skippy bar wasn't available separately, how come we have this old post:
Can you help me, i often reminisce about a chocolate bar i used to eat when doing my paper round 20 years ago. It was called Skippy, it had a blue wrapper with red and yellow writing. They where a bit thicker than a curly wurley with a biscuit base a thin layer of caramel all wrapped up with a coating of chocolate. I have searched on Google but cant find any references, all it came up with was some peanut butter bar.
Am i going mad?
Did this person eat a selection box every day?

i rember skippy bars yes i'm that old
no really my auntie worked for cadburys and brought loads of stuff home for us so i really remember the old cadbury stuff from 70s
i also didn't eat a selection box every day but was lucky as auntie brought reject ones home
