I tried the above Kit Kats from Japan over the weekend.
Parfait Kit Kat is a mixed fruit Kit Kat. On the packageing there is a picture of a selection of fruits including blueberry, melon, strawberry and raspberry. The chocolate was white with coloured bits in. This represents the fruit. It was very tasty and fruity. Maybe a bit too sweet for some but a tasty bar and lot better than our fruit KK offerings.
Mild Bitter Kit Kat is a KK covered in bitter chocolate. I am not sure of the cocoa solids. Any fans of darker chocolate will enjoy this one.

This is getting silly. They'll soon have 57 varieties.
-
You have to hand it to the Japanese, they like variety.
-
Exactly - this site is full of people moaning about the lack of variation, so we can't really knock Nestle on that score!
-
Not me! I've always stood my corner for Nestle.
Cadbury however..........

I've also tried Strawberry, Cherry Blossom and Maple Syrup flavours from Japan.
The lines they bring out are limited and in some cases regional.
-
Cherry Blossom? Bloody hell, shoe polish KitKat?
-
they should make a seafood kit kat edition line. Just think. Shrimp kit kats, clam kit kat, flounder kit kat

Yes, some of them are limited or regional. Now, we have new flavor. It's annin-doufu flavor. Annin-doufu is a Chinese dessert. It's like a jelly, tastes light and healthy.
I just found it few days ago and I haven't tried it yet. I can't image how it tastes...
I read the blog of a person who had the Kit Kat. He said, it dind't taste so good...
I agree Kit Kat with fruit parfait is tasty.

I can't hear or see the word parfait without thinking of donkey in Shrek!

Wasn't Rick Parfait in Status Quo?

yes, I too shamefully admit to that

I was so close to having a maple syrup KitKat. My best friend bought me one at an anime convention last month...but her sister found it. Life is so cruel.
Anyway.
Ha, knowing how the Japanese like their unusual flavours, it's entirely possible that you may see some seafood varieties in the near future.
I WOULDN'T be totally opposed to seeing a sweet potato or taro KitKat, however. Though with the sweet potato, I think I'd replace the chocolate coating with some sort of orange sweet potato-flavoured junk, like the green tea KitKat, which had no chocolate coating. I remember having taro chips way back when, and I don't really remember what they tasted like, but bubble teas come in taro flavour, so why not do taro KitKat?
Hm...OOO! Why not a sweet potato pie KitKat? You could shove some sort of marshmallow-esque goo between the wafers, and cover the thing in that orange, creamy sweet potato-flavoured stuff, and mix it with some cinnamon or...maybe not...
