Anyone remember the three flavoured Fry's chocolate cream bars? Why are they no more?

original, mint and orange are still available in places like woolworths
but my most favourite the five centres one hasn't been around for years

Ah yes, sadly the legendary Five Centres bar was discontinued in 1992. Does anyone remember the Fry's Spirit bars - cocktail themed bars that were around in the late nineties?

Ok, ok, so can someone tell me what the actual flavour of the original variety is supposed to be? It has a perfumed taste to it I'm sure (10 for £1 in Farmfoods at the moment).

Ooh, yum - got to get to Farmfoods! P.S. I think the flavour is supposed to be vanilla but my mother agrees with BK and says it tastes of perfume. (She also says that about Turkish Delight. I do feel inclined to ask why she keeps drinking her perfume...)

I think most chocolates containing alcohol are vile.

I am annoyed that they introduced the Frys Orange Bar AFTER they had got rid of the Five Centres one. Why couldn't they keep the Five Centres? It was wonderful. I want one NOW!

I remember Home Bargains used to do Vodka shot chocolates which were sickening.

Nestle stopped making lots of things that were previously Rowntrees and Mackintosh's when they took them over.  Golden Cup being only one of them...
