I like the Tesco value and the cheap bars from Lidl in case of a choc-emergency.

Depends what you mean by cheap. Just look in pound shops and they are teaming with cheap chocolate bars. 2 large Cadbury Wafer blocks for a quid.

Cadbury's Wafter is fantastic.

I hate it, but each to her own. They often have caramel ones in too or the biscuit ones. Sometimes they have massive bars of "Simply Swiss" chocolate for a pound - never tried it though.

If you mean 'cheap' as in everyday affordable, then either Cadbury or Galaxy. If you mean dirt cheap, Tesco's own is passable if you're desperate. I also got some nice Walker's choc from the 99p Store the other day.

I am going to Dartford Market soon to investigate their bargains. My work mate got a WHOLE BOX of Texans for £2.50 the other week. And 12 Magnums for a £1.

12 Magnums for a pound?? You pay that for one normally.

I know! Makes you wonder just how much profit companies do make.

For the past year or so, we have been saving for somewhere to live. My eyes have really been opened to the price of things and its amazing how expensive some things are and how cheap you can purchase things if you look.

If you think its expensive for you - try imagining the cost of
everything being 11 times the label price - thats what our change rate
is for pounds so coming to london is going to be very expensive. These
"cheap" chocs are going to be the only things i can afford soon.

Sorry, i know i sound like i'm bitching, but the thought of paying R11
for a small choccie is messing with my head - thank goodness i don't
smoke any more.

The R11 is the clue.  He could be from South Africa.

Tesco Value is pretty good. The dark chocolate especially. At that price you can't go wrong.

The worst range of cheap chocolate has to be Bobby's.  It is truly ghastly.

But they make lovely salt and vinegar twirls and cheese curls.

The big bars of Asda own brand dark choccie are absolutely gorgeous. They are about 50p per 200g bar

The asda one with biscuit in is really good, I bought some for a maths lesson and ended up eating it, bit like the jaffa cake advert!
