Title: Questions about the infamous ’Texan’
Post by: one_serious_chocoholic on November 26, 2004, 09:15:26 pm

I've never tried one of these, but judging from the whopping score it gets in the pole (9!), I think I really must have missed out!

Were they that great? What was so good about them?

Were they a bit like Curly Wurlys (chewy and a bit of chocolate)?

Texan bars are way over rated.  A case of false memory syndrome if ever there was one.

Whatever.  I would also challenge the title of this post; I don't think Texan bars could be considered infamous.  Memorable maybe but not infamous.

If you like chocolate nougat you'd love a Texan. It was very chewy nougat with chocolate coating. When they were soft (in hot weather) they were nice but when chilled they broke your teeth and ripped out your fillings.
