Title: lost bars
Post by: clairestelle on March 10, 2006, 11:17:57 am
Bored and hungery and reminiscing about all the chocolate bars I used to love.  Does anyone else remember Logger made by Terrys I think and Rolo Smooth which I don't think lasted on the market very long

Like Rolos, but smooth. The clues are there if you look hard enough

I remember rolo smooth being quite nice, the caramel was more runny instead of chewy

They were quite nice actually - a bit like a Golden Cup (although obviously not as good, before GC reminds me  !)

I loved the little dome-shaped Goldencups with the flat bottom and the silver foil. They were WONDERFUL.  I also remember the jingo:

Goldencup by Mack - in - tosh!

I used to have this bar as a treat after I'd been to the doctors. They used to do a bigger bar too - not a huge slab, but a similar size to the Cadbury Classics range. That was definitely only for special occasions.

Yes, i think its equivalent price today would be around £1.75-ish

It's true though. I too have an abiding memory of them being expensive and an occasional treat.

I must confess that I loved the big bar the best, contrary to others on the site.

Then again less isn't always more.

How have I missed this thread going on?  I always preferred the little ones but you had to have a few of them at a time!  I can remember them being 5p in the school tuck shop but they were VERY small - probably smaller than a Freddo or Taz.
