Title: Dear Cathy and Claire
Post by: smurfboy on March 04, 2006, 08:27:01 pm

I am a woman in my late forties with a seemingly perfect life. I have what I've always assumed is a happy marriage, and a very high-powered, high profile job organising sporting events. Last summer I persuaded a runner who is something of a local celebrity to help me organise a sports day in London instead of in Paris; my boss was delighted with me and I thought nothing could go wrong. The problem is my husband: I think he's been lying to me. I was emptying the pockets of his best suit to take it to Sketchleys (my niece is getting married next week) when I found rather a large sum of money. He claimed a Swiss business associate gave it to him and he forgot to tell me, but I have my suspicions. What should I do?

Yours in despair, Tess J., Westminster.
