it al started in 1989 when SKy lauched along with ITV night time
ahh remember when teh anccouns siad well were be back oin to 2pm with A much better programme until then here teh test card!

I watched it last night and I do think the programme is very weak.
All TV is getting worse in my opinion.

The rise in so called 'reality' TV shows are part of the problem. There are some good documentery/historical programmes on BBC2/C4 and C5 if you look out for them. I think there are not enough current affairs programmes though. There should be a slot for a Newsnight type programme at peak viewing time. The C4 news is probably the best. Genuinely good comedies have always been thin on the ground and we tend to remember the better ones and forget that there was a load of dross during the hey day of comedy, when shows like Fawlty Towers and Porridge were ruling the waves. We enjoyed these but also had to suffer with the likes of Man about the House and Mind your language etc etc.
However, rather than moan about the TV try listening to the radio. There is good stuff on there, especially Radio 2, Radio 4 and Five Live (on a Sunday), but you have to mix and match.

Ten celebs including Jade Goody, Chantelle and someone who has recently left The Bill team up with ten drunks to get pissed, sing outside Oldspice's local, eat a dodgy kebab, vomit over someone's coat and have a slash in an alleyway. The winner gets ten free pints down the Dog and Duck.

i havent converted to dvd yet - though ive been meaning to for a long time! i had no idea there WAS an interceptor forum. is it quite new? i'll definitelty have to check it out. (though i have been on the 'interceptors lair' site frequently.)

So how many episodes were actually made? I'm pretty sure they weren't all shown on ITV as it was axed pretty quickly.

Yes all episodes were shown in (I think) 1989. A couple years ago they were shown on Challenge TV but were quite heavily edited.
