Title: Parent bores
Post by: smurfboy on February 26, 2006, 11:21:30 pm

What is the point of these people who go on and on about their kids? Parents who think because their kids are the centre of their universe, they should be the centre of everyone elses. 'Look, this is the sh*t my baby just did in its nappy - isn't it brilliant?' Neuter the buggers!

I know many people who have changed so much since having kids and it becomes their only topic of conversation. I know too much about prices of school uniforms and which nappies are best and I really don't care.

When my children were yound enough to be collected from school, a lot of the mums would stand around exchanging titbits of information about which reading book their child was on, which after-school activitities they did and so on. It was just one big competition to see who could have the cleverest, busiest kid.

Oh yes, I remember that well!  I used to arrive at the last possible second (it wasn't unusual for my kids to be the only ones left in the playground, poor neglected waifs!) so I didn't have to get involved in these conversations.

My boss has recently had her first baby, aged 41.  Until that time she got very cross if anyone talked about their children or needed time off for anything relating to them.  All of a sudden, she talks about nothing else but her baby.......

I'm sure woman feel differently about there children than men do...

If the football is on or the simpsons there is no chance of them giving you a hand with nappy changing!!

Had an outrageous Round Robin letter last Christmas taking two closely-typed pages to say "we're richer than you and our kids are cleverer than yours"

I've crossed them off my Christmas card list for this year!!
