I love jaffa cakes so much. I think i remember asda or one of the supermarkets doing their own lemon and lime ones but i've never had them.

yes, it was Sainsbury's and they did a lemon and lime version. jacobs themselves has just released their own lemon and lime Jaffa Cake flavour

I remember a rasberry or blackcurrent version that Jacobs also did. Or was it strawberry? I know it was some sort of berry type fruit.

No not that one, that was Mcvities. I remember either Burtons or Jacobs doing a berry one at least 10 or more years ago.

I looked in Tesco yesterday and they didn't have them. I find the supermarkets take forever to get anything new in.

My sister in law is a supervisor in Sainsburys and she says they don't order anything new in until atleast 6 people request it.

A lot of supermarkets won't stock a new product unless the company that makes it gives them a 'sweetener' - that is a whole load of cash to stock the product incase it doesn't sell. They will deny doing it of course.

I have now tried these and they are  Ok but nothing special. I thought they tasted a bit artificial and prefer the orange ones.

I was nabbed in the street by a market researcher (for some reason they do lots of this on Saturday mornings where I shop) and did a taste test of the McVitie's Lemon & Lime jaffa cakes.  Like Oldspice, I liked them, but thought they weren't as good as the existing orange ones, the lemon & lime taste wasn't strong enough.

we have a store chain here in northern ireland called 'Supervalu'


 


they're currently selling lime and blackcurrant flavoured jaffa cakes...the b'currant ones are delicious


 


does anyone remember the time when the makers of jaffa cakes made a huge one to prove that each one is a cake and not a biscuit...had something to do with EU regulations on where biscuits are displayed or how they're taxed or summit....they won their case too.


 


pity they didn't keep making huge ones...i'm sure they would have sold hahahaha

Eventually last night I found one single, solitary box of l&l jaffa cakes at Somerfield  woohoo!!! They were in the offer of 2 boxes for 99p so I had to get a box of orange ones as well

Lemon and Lime jaffa cakes are 2 boxes for £1 at Londis.


I can recommend the Lidl cherry cakes; you get double the amount in a box for about 69p and they are yummy
