Title: How are pralines shipped in warm weather?
Post by: adifrank on January 30, 2006, 09:19:37 am

I'm interested in the different methods in which premium quality pralines can be packaged/delivered, especially in warm weather climates.

If you have any information on this subject, or know of a place/website that offers deliveries or shipment of top quality pralines, I'd be extremely grateful to read about it.

thank you!

Yes you are! But i am wondering who would be interested in such a thing? It sounds like a Roy Cropper sort of hobby to me! Anyway, I hate praline!

The thing that concerns me is, are they given plenty of space and fed well on the journey?

The word means different things in different places. Here it suggests the chocolate contains nuts but when I was in Germany they called every fancy kind of chocolate which was in a box a 'praline'

GC I don't know about chocolates but you be suprised at the level of complexity involved in shipping bananas including the amount of 'breathing' space they need.

I am almost scared of pigeons so the thought of eating them makes my tummy go a bit funny. I had the chicken

My mom says exactly the same thing. She swears she could never eat a pigeon, yet happily scoffs chicken and duck. Mind you, I think she was traumatised by the time a live pigeon fell down our chimney and flew round the dining room

Thats awful!

The pigeons I see on the way to work are so bloody used to people that they don't fly away. Sends a shiver down my spine

She couldn't go near it. I had to make a trail of bread to entice it through the French windows

Last Spring I was waiting for a bus when a nearby pigeon got run over by a bus. Thank heavens for the glass 'walls' of the bus shelter

I thought of you this morning Choccy Chick when I was walking through our shopping precinct.  There were pigeons everywhere and they just stayed put, however close you got to them - you just have to walk around them.  Then one took off right in front of me and poohed on the guy selling the Big Issue!

Not many men would know the difference between stuffing a matress and making a bed. Most have never done either!

I was once in the street when a bus ran over a pigeon. It made a huge POP sound, just like a crisp packet. Now, that is 'going out with a bang !'
