Would you believe someone is actually selling an old Marathon on eBay? 15 years past its sell-by-date! Even more unbelievable - the bidding has reached £3.20!
-
Just checked his other items - you could also own a vintage Wispa!
-
I want them!
You would be suprised how much the vintage wrappers go for smurfy!
-
I did think after I posted that you might be interested! The Wispa is only at £1.99 if you fancy a punt...
-
I just looked at this auction. I wonder if he found it in the back of a cupboard or kept it on purpose.
-
Even I clean out my cupboards more often than that!
That reminds me of one of my mom's friends, who could smell something funny in her daughter's room. She thought they had mice and one had died, or that there was something wrong with the plumbing. Then one day she opened a cupboard and found a half-eaten yoghurt.
'Oh, that's where I put that!' her daughter said. 'I didn't want the rest of it, so I hid it'.
'When was this?', her mom asked.
'Oh, about three years ago', her daughter replied...

Someone is proud of her new emoticons...
-
-

-
Enough to make you sick!
-
When I was little I bought a Marathon and when I opened it, it was covered in mould
That was around the time that Mars bars supposedly had rat poison in them (remember that??)
I bet the ebay one is mouldy inside

-
The yogurt thing makes me feel a little ill
-
If chocolate is mouldy, it usually means it's got wet
-
I think I'll forego that experiment...
-
Today I noticed someone has put a Cherry KitKat up for auction on eBay.
-
I wonder how much that will go for.
-
Wonder how much that will go for?

Wonder how much that will go for?
Sorry, didn't want to feel left out
-

-
Did you bid on the old choc?
-
Eugh, no. Why didn't the person enjoy the chocolate 15 years ago and just save the wrappers?
-

-
Is that blush a 'yes'?
-
CC won the Wispa
-
How much did you pay Choccy?
-
£74
-
-
ok then it was £3
-
Lou was right
-
I think you're bonkers, but then again other people would probably think I was bonkers for spending a fortune on Smurfs, so each to their own!
I'm off to list my chocolate wrappers on eBay...
-
I don't really have a lot to say in my defence. David can't believe I picked Wispa over Marathon

-

The Marathon was more expensive though wasn't it? Has your Wispa arrived yet? Was it tasty?
-
No not arrived yet. I will be putting my marigolds on to touch it though!
-
What is your rarest bar/wrapper?
-
I don't think I have anything mega rare. I do have the limited edition Time Outs and Ccaramels from a few years ago, I have an old Buttons packet from the late 80's early 90's. I also have the limited edition Polo's and Chewits which were out a few years ago. And the Pink Yorkie wrappers!
-
I have a late 1970s Fry's 5 Centres wrapper and an old label from a bottle of drink called Fruitopia (can't remember when that was out) - I don't collect them I just used them as bookmarks and found them recently when clearing out my books in storage!
-
Keep hold of them, there is potential eBay profit in those!
-
Definately keep hold of those Cherry! I have seen the 5 centres one go for quite a lot
-
I have never sold anything on eBay before, it all seems like a lot of hassle. I have bought loads of stuff though
-
Ok, send them to me and I will sell them for you. My 95% commission rate is very reasonable.
-
Thanks, I'll think about it.
-
I will buy the Fry's 5 centres one!
-
We love ebay don't we Smurfy and CC?
-
We do - addicts the lot of us.
My sister is going to a wedding and I was trying to persuade her last night to buy her outfit off eBay cos she couldn't find anything in the shops. She doesn't like second hand so I searched for BNWT (brand new with tags) items. She said 'oh my god, you have your own language!'
-
I used to collect teddy bears and beanies off eBay and that has its own language too ... eg. the 'tush' being the label found on the bear's bum, 'MWMT' (mint with mint tags) and so on. I have hoarded so much from eBay that last summer I stopped buying regularly.
-
I love eBay. Today I am sporting a Next shirt and bag brought on eBay.

Apparently Asda are starting to do wedding clothes including wedding dresses for £60!
-
My friend see some in BHS for £50!
-
BHS clothes seem to be made for women of different proportions than me, they never fit!
-
I'm trying to give up buying on eBay and stick to selling - otherwise I wipe out all my profits!
-
What sort of stuff do you sell Smurfy?
-
Clothes mainly - I have bought so many over the years that some of my stuff is hardly worn. I also buy stuff specifically to sell on, from charity shops or good bargains in the sales. I occasionally sell DVDs or stuff I've got from work cheap (excess stock etc.)

Never tried

My mam says it was on tv this morning about wedding dresses in Asda being as good as going to a bridal shop.
-
I have got all that to come!

Do you have to slap your arse as you come up the aisle?
