OK well I had to add a forum on this. I know there are so many of you
out there who have to eat your twix a layer at a time, or deep-fry your
mars bars.

Post your habits or ideas in this forum - just as long as they're 'clean' and legal.

My only unusual habit is the Tim Tam slam. In saying that, I believe it is common practice amongst Tim Tam fans, so maybe not...

I haven't tried the Tim Tam Slam yet paulham

My habits:

Twix: Layer at a time

Kit Kat: Nibble all the choc off the wafer

Milky Way: Nibble all the choc off

Cadbury's Buttons:  Melt base with side of hot cup of coffee.  Stick two together and pretend is huge counter.

Revels: Arrange in to various types and eat in rotation, guessing each filling.  I score one point for each one, and two points for a correct orange and coffee.  Highest score 23.

Bounty:  Nibble all chocolate first and then the coconut at the end.

Mars Bar: Nibble nougat and chocolate from sides first and then finish the toffee and chocolate topping.

Aero:  Bite each segment and allow to dissolve in mouth.

My method is just to eat it all as fast as possible because everybody knows if you eat chocolate quickly you won't put on weight.

I have to take a multi-technique approach to get the most from my chocolate (when I am eating it of course, which is not just now).

Double Decker - for part of the bar I eat the crunchy base and then the chewy top but for some of the bar i have to eat them both together.

Crunchie - for half of the bar i nibble off the chocolate, then eat the honeycomb and for some of the bar I crunch them together. I also have to suck the chocolate off and let the honeycomb melt for a little bit of the bar.

Malteesers - suck some to a mush and crunch some. One or two - nibble off the chocolate and eat the malty bit on its own.

Chocolate buttons - munch some and suck some.

I am a psychologists dream, I bet.

Revels: Suck all of them

Maltesers: Suck all of them

Melt white chocolate or Caramac, and just eat it melted. Or drizzle it onto pancakes or waffles.

Bounty Hunter - you dont REALLY play that Revels "game" do you? ANd a high score chart... Have you started to put rude names in yet? Like we all used to on Space Invaders, Galaxian, Gorf and so on...
Title: This forum
Post by: loulou on September 24, 2004, 02:48:14 pm

Whole nut...suck it and end up with a mouth full of nuts. Maltesers cram as many in in one go as you can.

Title: This forum
Post by: chocolate chick on September 24, 2004, 03:05:41 pm

Fruit & Nut, suck until left with raisins and nuts.

Same goes for Tasters and Yorkie Raisin & Biscuit

I love sucking minstrels because they have a lovely orange flavour to them.
Title: This forum
Post by: on September 24, 2004, 05:34:42 pm
The orange taste phenomenon in Minstrels is short-lived in my experience.   Yes lemoneye, I really do play the Revels game .

Maltesers: I gently suck the chocolate off and then suck hard and feel the honeycome implode.
Title: This forum
Post by: loulou on September 24, 2004, 06:07:35 pm
Crunchie: nibble all the chocolate off so only left with the honeycombe bit.

Flake - slowly bite and munch. Let some of it melt in my mouth. Have you noticed how absolutely great Flake Bars smell?

I never noticed that Minstrels had an orange flavour, but since the
orfange Smarties do I always think that some of the others do...daft
really.

Crunchie - eat all the honeycomb first and chocolate after.  Now there's a challenge!

Isn't it odd how chilled milk and choc are lovely but choc just doesn't go with warm milk or horlicks.
Title: This forum
Post by: oldspice on September 26, 2004, 09:48:23 pm
Horlicks makes me gag. It' absolutely vile and it reminds me of the old people's home where I used to do voluntary work as a teenager. In those days the homes were not the jolly and lively places they are today. I'm sorry, but every time I see a jar of Horlicks I think of the smell of ageing flesh, pee and boiled cabbage - which is how that home smelled.

Dr. Hillary Jones said we should make our gravy with cabbage water and if possible we should let the cabbage water cool and drink it as it is good for acne. Read this in the Woman the other day. Handy tip for any of our younger members.

Title: This forum
Post by: AngeLofDarKnesS on September 27, 2004, 04:47:43 pm

Kit Kat: suck all the chocolate around the wafer first.

Mars: nibble everything around the caramel first then allow caramel to melt in mouth.

Galaxy Bar and all other pure chocolate bars: relax in a comfortable chair, listen to techno music, eat the chocolate with eyes closed slowly, then lick all the chocolate left on fingers.

Best practice is when chocolate is when the chocolate is left out of the fridge for a while before eating.

frys choc cream : eat away the choc at the sides then nibble away at the underside of the choc (carefully) peel off the fondant centre, eat then you are left with the top bit of luvvly plain choccy.

bounty eat all the choc then roll coconut into a ball and eat that.

It's a pretzel base with caramel, peanuts and peanut butter covered in a peanut butter flavoured candy coating. i bought some off Ebay a while ago. They are to die for. A must for any peanut butter fan. They've got the salty/sweet ratio just right with these.

*drools*

Post by: Logger on August 01, 2006, 09:31:48 pm

Yeah, you must try them. They are nicer than all the Reeses products put together times 1000. Don't be put off by the pretzel layer either...it just blends in with the peanutty gorgeousness (doesn't give it a savoury flavour).

Cripes, i'm having a funny turn just thinking about them

By the way, Hersheys do white and milk chocolate coated versions but they are nowhere near as good. I've yet to try the limited edition chocolate cookie and marshmallow varieties but as soon as i've finished my Slim Fast ordeal they will be next on my chocolate hit list
