A Black Forest bar. Cadbury did one but it was just with cherries - I would do it with a fondanty-type cream to make it like the cake.

Rose and Violet Cream with those crunchy rose and violet bits on top.

OR Ginger cream with raisins in

OR Soft, white nougat, raisins and dark and milk chocolate (in other words - an Amazin bar).

I want a job for Cadbury designing new bars. I live in Brum and love choc - what other qualifications do you need?

The ability to have constant unoriginal thoughts and the desire to milk a product to death with slight variants on the original theme.

Oh and the brass neck to ignore your customers as you use a consultancy agency who CLEARLY know best!

The sad thing is their choc isn't too bad, taste-wise.

And they used to be more innovative. But when you think of it Paulham - how much more inventive are Mars? I mean, most of their products are based on the nougat/caramel/biscuit basis. At least Cadbury's have some non-caramel fillings like Turkish Delight. Mars don't do any chocolate/mint or chocolat/orange variations. Their best product is Maltesers.

Point taken Oldspice. However if I was celebrating my company's centenary I wouldn't be sitting on my arse thinking "how wonderful are we, the UK's No1 chocolate company. Right we will leave it at that."

Mars are not inventive really. Quite a secretive company actually-see their website.

However they have a core product range which I think is strong and they (generally) leave it at that rather than producing YET another varient on the same old theme.

I agree. And of course, although I'm not a huge fan of the humble Mars Bar, the Mars Midnight was a magnificent bar. I also love Twix because, although it's a bit boring, nothing beats it when you're really hungry mid-morning and you need something quick with your cup of tea - if you're lucky enough to get five minutes peace in the staff room to enjoy them!

I used to love Twix but have gone off it. The last few I had, the biscuit had a nasty dry taste.

I agree that Twix now has a dry taste and I'm not keen on it being crunchier.

That's interesting - I had my first Twix in ages the other day and didn't think it was as gooey as usual.

Mars bars were ruined when they took the malt out of them and milky ways.

Hasn't stopped me eating them though.
