Title: Happy Cows
Post by: kevvosa on October 10, 2005, 09:41:25 pm
By Milka. Bought one from Woolies today. Delicious! It's the one Ive
always been banging on about called "Kuhflecken" in German. Milk
chocolate with spots of white chocolate in it.

I'm puzzled why they chose such a name though. I suppose it makes a perfect gift for miserable cows.

I wonder why they changed the name to something so ridiculous?  Still it's good news - means that they are slowly building up their range of Milka products over here

That always seems to happen when you fall in love, strange isn't it.
Somewhere along the line though you need to keep yourself as sexy as
you were when you met or he's likely to go off with someone else.

I've been doing relationship studies

Chocolate Chick and Kevossa, what on earth are you going on
about?  Do you really think that because you have put a bit of
weight on your man will leave you? This kind of attitude from either
sex enrages me and my boyfriend, how shallow do you have to be if you
go off or dump your partner if they put on a bit of weight? Sure if
they out on loads they do look different and attraction is all tied
into a happy relationship but these men that leave their women for a
thinner model becaue they think their girlfriends have got slightly
more meat on them are horrible men! Love conquers  more than you
think. Bit disappointed in this society that makes women feel they have
to watch their weight so closely to 'keep a man'.

Come on ladies (and men!)!!

I dont think that chocolatesoo. What I was saying that it's important
not to let yourself go. And fair enough if you are really in love the
other person isn't likely to go off with someone else. But a lot of
people seem to have a shallow idea of love these days, which is why
many people flit from partner to partner cos they cant put in the
effort when things get tough.

Sure, don't stop making an effort but if you relax in a relationship,
that's a good thing too.  You know, keep having baths, keep
washing your hair, still wear nice clothes, for yourself as well as the
partner. But it isn't my fault if this society is becoming more image
conscious because some people are  shallow. What kind of a way is
that to live your life? I'm not going to become more shallow to fit
into all these stereotypes and being worried I am going to lose my man.
If my man went off with someone who was a size 8 because he thought a
size 12 was letting myself go, he isn't actually worht anything. I'm
talking about falling in love with someone and being by their side as
you grow older, and loving that change, it's still the same person.

This is a whole new topic isn't it?
I have a friend who has been persecuted all her life because she is a
very thin person. People sl*g her off and go on about how we should
fight against this 'everyone should be thin' model. So the
discrimination goes both ways. In fact it is all becoming very
confusing. All models, singers, actresses are all a certain way, thin,
toned etc. So there is a backlash of people saying curvier women are
real women. But what about naturally thin people? We might not think
about it but they can have a hard time too. People are all different
sizes, we all can change our appearance. But living your life to
conform to a certain way or that you are worried about losing your man
is such a sad way to live. Where is the acceptance of yourself?

I agree with what soo is saying really, acceptance of yourself is a
personal thing which I dont think many people understand. I think a LOT
of people truely believe they have to be a certain way, the type that
read trashy magazines with the skinny models in etc.

Also I think that porn and the types of woman on those sites distorts
what men find attractive - the women on those sites are usuaully stick
thin with huge boobs. So men looking at those sites probably expect
that of a woman.

No, no. If you can't smack a woman on the bottom whch results in 20 seconds of "ripples" it's no fun!
