Remember these? They were chocolate covered nougat with rice crispies in the middle. Yummy!! Made by Lovells I think and in a white wrapper.
-
recognised the description could not of put a name to it though lol
-
They were gorgeous. Sadly disappeared now

I liked those too, didn't realise they were gone.

I don't think they were as popular as say Cadbury so they just quitely left the shelves.
-
They were indeed made by Lovells. The only place I ever used to see them was in the pic n mix at Woolies.
-
Oh yes! They come in small little chunks as well dont they? I automatically thought of the bars.
Look out for the little chunks in woolworths Andie
-
Yeah, Milky Lunch! Wow, Lovely. Please tell me you can still get them somewhere!I didn't know you could ever get them in 'chunks' though.
A friend and I used to nip out in our break at work and buy one from the local 'small' newsagents in 1975, oh such memories! and somebody mentioned 'Cracknell', amazing how one forgets! why do thing have to change? and rarely for the better, unless you include cars, Computers and........I forget the rest!
-
Try the Pic 'n' Mix at Woolies.
-
I would love to see Mint Cracknell and Lime Cracknell return. Come to think of it, I would like to see 1975 return! I was 17 (until September that year), had my first steady boyfriend, was a size 10 and had no wrinkles!
I remember Milky Lunch but Lovells' finest product was the wonderful chocolate nougat they used to sell. Soft, chewy. chocolate covered heaven.
-
I have bought Milky lunch bars in Norway....made by a local company.....if that helps.....
-
I used to adore Milky Lunch. I'm certain two varieties were made. I distinctly remember buying hundreds of them from my local independant grocer in the mid-nineties...and floral gums too. Now what ever happened to those?
-
I like lovells, you can buy 'milky lunch' bars in some pound shops now but there just a bit like the old milkyways.
The white wrapper one your talking about i think theres a picture of it on this site.
-
Could've sworn I read these were being made by Halo in North Wales. Still searching for dearly-departed Bar Six by the way (some hope).
-
Long gone.
-
Just returned from my holiday in Rhyl with a bag full of Turkish Milky Lunch bars. Found them in a discount store near the promenade. Mmmmmm......
-
I read that as Turkish (Delight) Milky Lunch at first.
Boy, was I confused!
-
In case anyone is still interested I saw packets of these being sold dirt cheap in the cheap sweet shop in Willenhall just along from Greggs, opposite Boots. They always have a veritable cornucopia of interesting confectionery (though the use by dates and origins are another matter...)
-
I was going to ask where willenhall was but i'm more intrigued to the meaning of cornucopia.
-
Willenhall is halfway between Walsall and Wolverhampton. It's not as glamorous as it sounds.
Corncopia - an abundance or excessive variety of something.

Yay it's like dictionary corner and that programme with John Craven rolled into one.
