Title: Christmas is here
Post by: chocadmin on September 14, 2005, 11:15:13 pm

Yes, in case you'd forgotten the Christmas season starts in September these days. Went down to my local Sainsbury's yesterday and it was loaded with christmas choc!

Everything from chocolate tree decorations to a nostalgic edition of quality street (with 4 old varieties brought back from the dead).

You will be delighted to know that I looked in Woolies today and gooseberry cream is there!

The others are coffee cream , chocolate octagon and toffee deluxe. The box looks great, just like an old Quality Street box, but what I think would have really topped it off is if they'd used the old Mackintosh brand name on it. Surely they own it?

I like the sound of that a LOT!

Was there only 4 old ones then? What is a toffee deluxe like?

Don't remember it, or the chocolate octagon - would like to try those and the goosgog cream though. I normally ask for Roses at Christmas, but might have to change my mind this year.

I always ask for quality street, got a big tin of roses last year and I
was a bit disappointed. They were from the mother in law! Have they
taken any of the current range out of Quality Street to make way for
the additions?

Why would you want your jaws to ache?
