I bought a really good camera for 50p.  I just wanted a non-digital that my son could take on scout camp and it takes brilliant photos - autofocus etc etc.

You've got to know what you're looking for though.  My son wants an ipod and I'm not sure about buying that from ebay

I have converted my boyfriend as well.

He likes Diesal jeans and they are £100-£150 in the shops. He has brought 2 jeans now for around £15 each.

This weekend he won some D&G jeans for £15.00 and there RRP is £150.

I do agree what you have to know what you are looking for as you can't really take it back like you can in the shops.

Yes that's what bothers me with something like an ipod that could go wrong.

I got my son some Billabong jeans a while ago for £1

Do you use Paypal?  I think that makes it even better as I used to fiddle about posting cheques.  I don't accept Paypal though.

Yes I use paypal. I also accept it as well. I know you have to pay a
fee but I find it easier to pay the fee then take cheques to the bank
and then wait for them to clear.

Oh is that how it works?  I might register for it then, next time I have a whole load of stuff to sell.

Its quite easy, but it does not go directly into you bank account.

It stays in your paypal account until you transfer in into your bank
account. I tend to leave it in my paypal account and use it to pay for
what I buy on ebay.

You also get paypal protection

I bought loads of stuff before Christmas - mainly smurfs and obscure/deleted 80s music. Haven't bought in ages, got too addicted - and I'm far too much of a hoarder to sell!

eBay does become addictive. I won a pair of pink shoes last night. I
have banned myself from going on there until I get back from New York,
else I will have no money left.

A whole year on Sunday. We are going to the London Aquarium. He has
also got me some Coldplay tickets and I have got him some James Blunt
tickets and a ride on the London Eye which we have already done.

Choccy Chick, how did your boyfriend get Coldplay
tickets? I couldn't get onto the website or through on
the phone until they'd all sold out. I'm so jealous.

My friend's son bought four and sold two of them on for double the price within ten minutes.  If everyone did that sort of thing it's not surprising you couldn't get through.

I was on the internet and the phone at 9am. I brought the tickets as he
doesn't have access to a computer like I do. The phone was jammed as
was the coldplay website. I had no luck on tickermaster either. But I
went to lastminute.com and got them straight away on there.

Have you seen Coldplay before Choccy Chick? I
adore Chris Martin, I first saw them in 2000, the ticket
was £9 and there were about 150 people at the gig -
a bit different to when I saw them at Crystal Palace in
June - £35 a ticket and 45,000 people there. I've
seen them every time they've toured and I'm
heartbroken I can't get a ticket this time.

Well they were at live 8 but there was problems getting on in so by the time I got in there coldplay were pretty much over. Coldplay are being supported by Richard Ashcroft! How cool is that!

I saw them in about 2001 I think, soon after Parachutes came out, whenever that was.
