-
Yes same here in Southampton - still haven't found anyone selling them

(yes I know I could order them from british candy).
Perhaps people would like to reply with when and where they've found bars (or indeed where they haven't found them).
-
Hello Sweetie has lots of Texans and is selling them
at the RRP of 38p each. Other websites are charging
more.
-
Not seen it anywhere yet - will try the local shop, they often have new stuff.
-
Oops, I forgot to say the the site is hello-sweetie.com
-
has ANY ask /told there Local NEwsagents to get them form the Lcoal cashNcarry. that what i'm doing
-
We have had Texan Bars at Britishcandy.com for the past 2 weeks, they have been selling very, very fast!
-
Yes but you charge rather more than 38p each!
-
I would welcome any feeback on my site, I've spent
over a year developing it as I wanted it to be like the
sweetshops I spent most of my childhood in. I've
always dreamed about having my own sweet shop.
Check it out at hello-sweetie.com and let me know
what you think.

£1.09 P&P! I'll wait thanks!
If Nestle don't hurry f**king up and get these bars up here soon, I will never, ever buy ANY Nestle products again.
I must have tried so many shops all to know avail. I emailed them to express my disgust that as a Nestle site member that they never thought to let us know that the product was being launched.
In my opinion the whole thing has been a half-arsed attempt to win the sales war but has back fired by angering those who held dear such claasic bars.
Mark my words us 30-somethings don't like being dicked around!

-
Try your local Texaco garage , ive seen them in more than one !!!
38p each ! Does anyone know how much British Candy is
charging for a box of 36 Texan Bars ? Cheers , Steve , Plymouth UK
-
I am so angry my spelling is all over the place-bastards!
-
steve, check your private messages
-
you can also buy full boxes at chocolatebuttons.co.uk
-
Hello Sweeties. I will send a free Texan Bar to the
first 50 people to register on hello-sweetie.com
between now and midday tomorrow.
-
Well I have to say I asked Nestle's Press Office for details about the
launch and they put me in contact with the PR company, who said 'theyd
be in touch'.
As today is launch day and I haven't heard anything (unless the spam filter at work is doing overtime
) - they obviously aren't that organised.
Perhaps they think things like this still sell by viral marketing
.
-
Hi Paulham! Lovely to hear from you. Sorry you're so angry. Nestle make me feel like that too when they bu**er around with the chocolate on old favourites like Toffee Crisp and Lion Bar (that were not even theirs to muck around with).
It is a farce. I mean, if they can manufacture them after over twenty years of saying they can't (and having the cheek to blame the bloody miners) then WHY CAN'T THEY DISTRIBUTE THEM??
-
Another one that annoys me (from Nestle) is that they brought Golden
Crumble to market here without changing the coating. If it didn't have
that stupid 'chocolate flavour' coating and just normal nestle choc
instead it would have been a definite fave. over crunchie, instead it's
just a one taste curiosity.
To be fair to Nestle though, they've done far more for the 'common'
chocolate snack marketplace than any of the other major players in the
last couple of years. Think of the things they've tried with Kit Kats,
and those nice new Wonka bars. Mars are only now realising the error of
their ways by bringing us galaxy promises, and as for Cadbury - dear oh
dear...
-
The Nestle PR people just e-mail you a jpg image of the new Texan Bar and a document with the history of the Texan Bar. There isnt any information there a Texan bar lover wouldnt already know lol
Although the offical launch is the 22nd it has been possible to buy Texan bars for the last 2 weeks from us and other on-line retailers. We had to go to 3 different confectionery wholesalers to find them!
Many local shops buy their stock from national distributors which are mostly a week or so behind with new product launches. Im sure you guys will find the Texan Bar in your local shop soon
-
other than british candy who is the cheapest online seller for the Texan Bars? I've looked everywhere in London for them and still can't find them. I did buy 15 but they ran out so i'm either going to have to buy a few boxes or at least double figures.
-
hello-sweetie.com sells Texan Bars at 38p each.
We've got plenty in stock, they're selling fast . We'll
also sell them by the box.
-
your turn now britishcandy.
-
-
I still havent seen Texan Bars in any shops yet!
-
Nestle have been quite busy just lately launching the Wonka bars and Texan within weeks of each other
-
Received my Texan bar last night from HelloSweetie, thank you.
Well worth the wait....lovely and nostalgic....lol
-
Still haven't seen any in the shops......
-
Hi scotschoclover, welcome to the site. I am desperately waiting for these to hit the shops as i dont remember them 1st time around.
-
scotschoclover - Glad you received your Texan OK
and enjoyed it. I've been round a few shops locally
and in Heathrow and still no sign of Texans but cash
& carry places are all sold out so someone
somewhere must be buying them and selling them
in London. I'm going into town tomorrow and I'll trawl
the shops and see where they're available. My family
in Yorkshire haven't seen them yet either. Where are
they all? (Apart from all the online sweet shops!)
-
Not bad. Bloody small though!
If you fridge it, it is really tough on the teeth.
8/10
Not TOTALLY convinced about the taste though.................
-
I know what you mean Paulham. The nougat filling amost seems like semi-soft caramel to me. Can't face chilling them - teeth wont stand it thesedays!
-
Here's what I think: They're smaller, more rounded
on the top, centre's not as chewy, the chocolate
doesn't fall off the sides like it used to. Not as mighty
a chew as they used to be. However, the new Texan
is better than no Texan at all. Anyone agree?
-
Well, if pushed I would rather have a Cadbury's Amazin Raisin bar but I pleased for all the die-hard Texan fans.
-
I think the new Texans are nice. I cant remember what they tasted like before, I just remember having them
